Hy boy`s and girl`s, first of all,sorry for my bad english,iam German.my name is Roland and i live close to Cologne.i need some information about the One Ton land Rover Frame.Where is the different betwenn a Series III (109 )Frame and the One Ton.Are they similar, ore do they have only longer shackels ?May you will have some technical informations, hope you understand, cheers, Roland
PS: i am still searching for a left hand drive One Ton ...... |

This is where we have tried to complile a list of what makes a one ton chassis.
I'll try and do it here from memory...
- Steering relay hole on both sides of front crossmember
- Extended spring hangers
- Bolt-on gearbox crossmember (except suffix A)
- Cut-out in front crossmember to clear diff
- Cut out in bellhousing crossmember to clear the front propshaft
many of these features also appeared on the Military Land Rovers, however One Tons will have a civilian rear crossmember
